It selectively targets melanocytes and inhibits key regulatory steps in melanin synthesis. We have a database of information on over 500,000 (and growing) people’s skin, and we use these insights and expertise to personalise and perfect your products.
We know that scientifically, skin cells can take at least 28 days to turn over. Our data shows that it’s most common for people to reach optimal results around the three-month mark, however, depending on the skin concerns, some customers may see results upon first use, or within the first week.
Our entire product line is fragrance-free, which means all of our formulations will smell like the natural ingredients. Most of our formulas have a standard, mild 'creamy' smell.
Your base for your formula is typically down to personal preference - depending on if you prefer gel-based moisturisers, if you prefer a lighter formulation because you wish to pair it with an SPF product already in your routine, or if you have a drier skin type and so prefer something more nourishing. If you are not happy with your base we are happy to offer a reformulation. Please send all requests to: orders@baseplus.co.uk
You can take our quiz to receive a formulation recommendation - we constantly update our algorithms to ensure our formulas grow in accuracy as we serve more people. If you don't receive the actives you were hoping for or prefer, you are able to make your own selection at the end of the recommendation quiz. If there are actives not available that you would love to see us stock, please email: hi@baseplus.co.uk to let us know!
If your formulation is not one that you feel is meeting your specific needs, we offer reformulation after 14 days. Email orders@baseplus.co.uk with your order number and preferred recipe, and our formulation team will work with you to find a solution.
